Is MappX free?
Yes, MappX is free to join and use. We may offer premium features in the future, but the core mapping and social sharing functionality will always be available at no cost.
When will MappX launch?
We are launching Summer 2025. Join the waitlist for early access and to receive updates about our launch timeline!
Is my data private?
We take privacy seriously. Your location data is only shared according to your privacy settings. You control who can see your posts, profile, and travel history. See our Privacy Policy for complete details.
Can I use MappX without sharing my location?
Yes! While location sharing enhances the experience, you can manually add visited places without sharing your current location. Location permissions are completely optional.
How do I get support if I have an issue?
Email us at info@mappx.app. Our support team aims to respond within 48 hours.
Account Management
- Sign up & Log in: Learn how to create an account, log in, and recover your password.
- Delete your account: To delete your account, open the MappX app, go to Settings → Delete Account. Follow the instructions to permanently delete your account and all associated data.
- Block or unblock a user: Go to Settings → Blocked Users to manage your block list.
Privacy & Security
- Data & permissions: Learn about location, camera, and photo permissions in our Privacy Policy.
Comments & Social Features
- Report inappropriate comments or content: Tap the three dots (⋮) next to any comment or post, select Report, and choose the reason for reporting. Our moderation team will review your report within 24 hours.
Safety & Reporting
- Report abuse or spam: To report abusive behavior or spam, go to the user's profile, tap the three dots (⋮) in the top-right corner, and select Report User. You can also report specific content by tapping the three dots on any post or comment and selecting Report.
- What happens after I report something? Our moderation team reviews all reports within 24 hours. If we find the content violates our Community Guidelines, we'll take appropriate action, ranging from removing the content to suspending the user's account. We don't disclose the identity of users who submit reports.
